Incubators and business accelerators and their work with startups in Syria
This will be the title of our lecture with Dr. Sinan Hattahat
An expert in Syrian political economy, post-conflict transformations, and building governance and development.
He has international experience in designing and implementing economic and social initiatives that support entrepreneurship and startup incubation in challenging environments.
He has held executive and advisory positions in international institutions including the Atlantic Council and the European University Institute, and also served as Vice President for Investment and Social Impact at the Syrian Forum, where he led an initiative to revive the Syrian private sector and support the establishment of new companies through training and incubation programs like Dollani, aimed at qualifying technical skills and linking them to the labor market.
He founded the “Invest in Syria VC Fund” which aims to finance Syrian startups and connect them with regional investors, and he also serves as CEO of Innovation and Business at Elevate Holding, leading growth and innovation strategies. Seven Gates Hotel – formerly Sheraton
