Under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and in the presence of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mr. Abdul Salam Heikal, the Human Resources Management Foundation, represented by its Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Munir Abbas, participated in the “First Syrian National Symposium on Artificial Intelligence” at the National Library in Damascus.
The symposium witnessed the official launch of the “One Million Users” initiative for advanced digital literacy and the graduation of the first cohort of artificial intelligence trainers. This represents a significant step in line with the Foundation’s vision to empower Syrian talent and build career paths that meet the demands of the labor market.
During the symposium, the Minister emphasized that Syria is undergoing a foundational phase that requires the Ministry’s concerted efforts with civil society to achieve digital sovereignty and build a generation equipped with the tools of the future. He noted that the graduates are the cornerstone for transferring technical knowledge and guiding digital transformation in institutions.
This initiative, the largest of its kind, aims to attract and train one million beneficiaries over the next two years, focusing on bridging the digital divide and achieving equal opportunities through an advanced training platform that grants trainees accredited certificates in artificial intelligence technologies.
