The Human Resources Management Foundation, in cooperation with UNRWA – Damascus Training Center (DTC), presented a voluntary workshop entitled “Career Guidance Session and How to Search for a Job.”


As part of a joint collaboration between the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and UNRWA – Damascus Training Center (DTC), Dr. Munir Abbas presented a volunteer workshop entitled:

Career Guidance Session and How to Find a Job

The workshop covered a range of important topics relevant to students, graduates, and job seekers. Dr. Abbas began by providing an overview of the Institute of Human Resource Management and the services it offers in the areas of training and professional development, in addition to its programs, workshops, and free job platforms designed to support job seekers.

The workshop also addressed the most important functions of human resource management and their implementation in companies, with a focus on recruitment processes, performance evaluation, and training and development.

The workshop included a practical demonstration on preparing a professional resume in both Arabic and English, highlighting common mistakes and points to consider when creating one.

In the area of ​​employment skills, the workshop emphasized the most important skills employers look for in recent graduates, including:

✅ Communication and dialogue skills.

✅ Teamwork skills.

✅ Personal development and continuous learning. ✅ Self-presentation skills.

✅ Using modern cloud systems and applications.

The workshop also addressed the importance of human resource management in remote work environments and during crises, as well as mechanisms for monitoring performance and effective communication with employees within virtual environments.

The session concluded with a Q&A session, amidst excellent audience engagement, emphasizing the importance of continuous professional development and preparing for the job market.

The workshop introduced participants to the role of Human Resource Management, key recruitment and performance management practices, and practical techniques for preparing professional CVs in both Arabic and English. It also highlighted essential employability skills sought by employers, including communication, teamwork, continuous learning, self-presentation, and digital proficiency.
