During the fifth edition of the Job Gate Employment Fair, Mr. Raouf Al-Baish, a Syrian businessman specializing in the medical tourism sector, delivered a lecture titled:
“Medical Tourism in Syria… From Opportunity to a Global Industry”
The lecture explored the current state of the medical tourism sector and the key resources and opportunities that can be built upon to develop this sector and transform it into a field capable of attracting investments and strengthening economic activity.
Mr. Raouf Al-Baish also shared insights from his more than 15 years of experience in business, including nearly 9 years of specialized experience in the medical tourism sector in Turkey. He discussed his experience in establishing and managing companies, building teams, international marketing, and attracting patients from global markets.
The lecture also addressed the importance of developing an integrated system to serve international patients, as well as the role of marketing, investment, and service development in strengthening Syria’s ability to attract visitors seeking medical services.
The lecture witnessed active engagement from attendees and discussions about the potential of Syria’s medical tourism sector, future opportunities for its development and the creation of new jobs, and the benefits of drawing on regional and international expertise and experience in this field.
