Career Guidance Day Launch
Damascus – The Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM) announced the organization of a “Career Guidance Day” event in cooperation with the Qudrat Youth Empowerment Center. This event, organized according to the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Career Guidance Guide, will be held at the Ministry’s Qudrat Youth Empowerment Center on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It is a developmental and interactive event aimed at supporting young people, enhancing their professional readiness, and enabling them to enter the labor market more effectively.
This event was organized with the participation of several companies, institutions, and stakeholders from various sectors. Representatives from the human resources departments of Magella (represented by Ms. Samah Shoura), Sadaf Foods (represented by Mr. Muhannad Khader), and Ibn Zuhr Pharmaceutical Industries (represented by Ms. Roula Muhammad) were present, along with Noon Agency for Digital Services for People with Disabilities (represented by Mr. Laith Al-Mubayyad), Bank of Syria and the Diaspora (represented by Ms. Rasha Al-Sheikh), the Pro Team for Digital Services (represented by Mr. Baraa), and a representative from the human resources department of Hasib Company. This diverse participation reflects the commitment of all involved parties to supporting initiatives aimed at empowering youth and connecting them with the job market.
The event featured a series of specialized sessions and lectures presented by a select group of experts. Dr. Munir Abbas, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, opened the program with a lecture introducing the organization and its professional personality analysis test. This was followed by a lecture from Professor Samah Shoura on common mistakes in resume writing. Professor Osama Lazini then discussed the fundamentals of job interviews and modern techniques for succeeding in them. Professor Hisham Harmalani delivered a lecture on entrepreneurship during university studies, and Dr. Munir Abbas concluded the lecture series with a presentation on skills for entering the job market.
The event also provided a platform for professional networking and communication between participants and representatives of companies and organizations, offering a direct opportunity to exchange experiences and build future professional relationships.
The event was supported by several hospitality sponsors, including Tamara, Puck, Umayya Class, and Indomie, who contributed to providing a comprehensive hospitality experience for attendees, reflecting the spirit of cooperation among various supporting entities to ensure the success of initiatives aimed at empowering youth.
