From the atmosphere of the first dialogue session, titled “Policies and the Digital Economy,” with the participation of Dr. Munir Abbas, which brought together a select group of decision-makers, including several officials and ministers, as well as the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mr. Abdul Salam Haikal, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, and the Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahman Turku. The session discussed the most prominent trends related to the digital economy and the role of policies in supporting technological transformation and fostering an environment conducive to innovation and digital skills.
The second session, titled “Market and Private Sector Needs,” addressed topics related to the needs of the market and the private sector. This included a discussion of the skills required in the technology job market and the most significant challenges facing companies in recruitment and building technical teams, emphasizing the importance of integration between the academic and professional sectors to keep pace with the rapid developments in the digital field.
